Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday has announced that the Aam Aadmi Party will alone contest the upcoming Delhi assembly, and “there is no possibility of any alliance with the Congress”.
“Aam aadmi party will be fighting this election on its own strength in Delhi. There is no possibility of any alliance with congress,” Arvind Kejriwal posted on X
The clarification of Kejriwal came after news agency ANI stated that the two parties were in the final stages of talks of sharing seats in Delhi.
The ANI source said, “Congress and AAP are in the final stages of agreement for an alliance in the Delhi elections. 15 seats for Congress, 1-2 to other INDIA Alliance members and the rest for AAP.”
However, this is not the first time an AAP supremo has dismissed the possibility of a coalition in Delhi, Kejriwal has made it clear earlier this month that the party has no plans to form alliances for the Delhi assembly election as the party aims for a third consecutive term.
Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party has announced its second list of 20 candidates for the upcoming Delhi Assembly polls. In this new list, AAP dropped 16 sitting MLAs and moved two others.
