A dispute over parking in Kubera Bhual Patti village, Kushinagar, Uttar Pradesh, tragically escalated into an incident of mob violence, resulting in the brutal assault of a man identified as Azharuddin. The event, which falls under the Vishnupura police station jurisdiction, has shaken the local community.
The conflict reportedly began when a resident, Ritesh, requested Azharuddin to move his pickup truck from the road. The verbal confrontation quickly turned physical. Reports indicate that during the initial scuffle, Azharuddin allegedly stabbed Ritesh.
In a violent retaliation, Ritesh’s relatives and friends quickly surrounded Azharuddin. They proceeded to tie him up and administer a merciless beating. A distressing video of the assault has since circulated widely on social media. Witnesses described the attack as “inhuman,” noting that the mob continued to thrash Azharuddin even as Ritesh’s mother desperately pleaded for them to stop.
Local residents have voiced their outrage, demanding justice and strict action against the attackers. Meanwhile, Azharuddin’s family is reeling from the trauma of the attack. The assault has drawn swift condemnation from Muslim groups and activists. The Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind has demanded immediate arrests, with a spokesperson asserting that the police must act promptly to ensure “equality before the law is applied to all,” warning that inaction would otherwise be seen as “an encouragement to the mobs.”
