UP Government Plans ‘Surgical Strike’ to Identify Infiltrators

Date:

The Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s government has prepared a detailed blueprint to conduct a “surgical strike” against infiltrators with the aim to strengthen the state’s internal security.

The government has also recently launched an intensive verification campaign to identify the illegal immigrants, which includes Rohingyas and Bangladeshis living in the state, and send them back.

As per the official statement issued, the government has created a campaign to identify and act against infiltrators, stressing that the infiltrators are utilizing the resources of the state, which belong to the citizens who have the rights over the resources.

“This decisive step will not only enhance security but also ensure that government schemes reach eligible beneficiaries in a transparent manner,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, the plan of the government is to detect the infiltrators and shift them to detention centers.

“With Adityanath’s firm stance, the crime rate in the state is projected to decline, while police and security agencies will be better equipped to curb illegal activities, especially in border districts,” the statement said.

“The statement noted that for years, government schemes have been misused by infiltrators, often at the expense of rightful beneficiaries. Identifying such individuals, it added, will help ensure that welfare support reaches those it is meant for, while preventing misuse of public funds and curbing corruption.”

“This move will also open new avenues of employment for local youth and workers, creating fairer competition and a more secure environment for job seekers,” the statement said.

“As a result, residents’ trust in the government’s functioning will grow, reinforcing Uttar Pradesh’s progress under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s leadership,” it added.
