Anil Vij, the home minister for Haryana, announced that a curfew had been enforced in the violent Nuh area. ‘Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra’, a religious procession that was led by BJP district president Gargi Kakkar and started from Gurugram’s Civil Lines, was reportedly stopped by a group of men at Khedla Mod in Nuh.

The government issued prohibitory orders under Section 144 of the CrPC (Code of Criminal Procedure) in numerous districts of Haryana, including Nuh, Gurugram, and Rewari districts, as a result of the violence spreading to other areas of the state. Additionally, internet access has been restricted in the area until August 2.

Locals claim that multiple stores and vehicles have either been burned, damaged, or vandalized. Near Sohna chowk, several shops were burned down or robbed, and about 50 cars were destroyed. On Tuesday morning, reports from Nuh described similar events. To keep the calm, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) battalions were posted in the affected areas.

Locals reported vandalism at over 50 shops, including carts used by vendors.

By Monday evening, the violence had extended to other areas of Haryana, including Sohna in Gurugram. The Haryana government also announced the closure of schools in Gurugram, Faridabad, and Palwal for Tuesday in a late-night decision.
