Zuckerberg hasn’t used Threads for six days, according to a screenshot posted on Twitter. The Twitter-like app is a creation of Meta Platforms.
In a recent step in their ‘rivalry,’ Elon Musk has claimed that Mark Zuckerberg does not care about Threads, the most significant Twitter rival in recent memory and a product of the Zuckerberg-led Meta Platforms.
Musk responded to a Twitter user’s post with a screenshot of Zuckerberg’s Threads page by writing, “He doesn’t seem to care about his new product,” noting that the Meta CEO had posted there as recently as six days prior.
“Six days have passed since the CEO of the other app posted. Has he already given up on it? ” Tweeted by the user.
However, since its launch on July 5, Threads has surpassed OpenAI’s ChatGPT as the social networking app with the quickest growth to 100 million users. Within five days of its debut, the Instagram campaign created by Meta’s team hit the goal.
Musk, the richest man in the world who bought Twitter in October of last year, has not shied away from making fun of Threads.
In fact, Zuckerberg hasn’t exactly been afraid to make fun of the South African-born businessman, hours after Threads launched, he made his first appearance on Twitter in almost 11 years and posted the well-known “Spider-Man face-off” meme without a caption, which many people took to be a dig at the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX.
The exchange between Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg has sparked controversy over the level of commitment the Meta CEO has towards Threads, a Twitter rival developed by Meta Platforms.
Musk accused Zuckerberg of not caring about the product, pointing out the lack of recent activity on his Threads page.
The rivalry between Musk and Zuckerberg has been evident, with both taking jabs at each other publicly.
While Musk continues to mock Threads, its rapid growth suggests that the product has resonated with users, despite doubts raised by Musk.
