Donald Trump’s so-called “Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict” is not a peace proposal. It is a fraud dressed up in the language of aid and redevelopment. Beneath the shiny packaging lies a scheme designed to cement Israel’s occupation, strip Palestinians of their basic rights, and put Gaza under foreign trusteeship. And at the center of this grotesque theater? Two men whose names are synonymous with war and destruction — Donald Trump and Tony Blair. Trump, who normalized Israel’s annexationist agenda, and Blair, whose hands are still soaked with the blood of Iraq, now want to pose as guardians of peace. War criminals disguised as peacemakers.
A plan without Palestinians
This so-called roadmap was written in Washington and Tel Aviv, announced at the White House, and forced down people’s throats without even asking Palestinians what they think. Gaza is to be run by a “technocratic committee” under the supervision of an international “Board of Peace” — chaired by Trump and including Blair. Imagine that. Two men responsible for wars, invasions, and mass displacement, now deciding the fate of Palestinians. That’s not peace. That’s humiliation.
Dressing up occupation
The plan talks about Israel’s “withdrawal,” but it’s a trick. Israel gets to keep a security perimeter, maintain veto power, and operate through an “international stabilization force.” In other words: the occupation doesn’t end — it just changes uniform. Palestinians are expected to accept foreign control forever, while the occupiers still pull the strings.
A crime against international law
International law is clear: annexation, forced transfer, denial of self-determination — all of this is illegal. Yet Trump’s plan openly sanctifies these crimes. It conditions Palestinian freedom on reforms imposed from outside and turns the occupier’s grip into something “legitimate.” It is the laundering of occupation.
Disarmament or surrender
The plan demands Hamas and other factions disarm, dismantle everything, and renounce politics. In return, they get conditional amnesty. This is not negotiation — this is surrender dressed up as compromise. No liberation movement in history has laid down its arms before achieving freedom. Palestinians are told to submit while soldiers still stand on their land.
A 72-hour fantasy
Another farce: the promise that within 72 hours all hostages — alive or dead — would be released in exchange for limited prisoner releases. Anyone who has watched hostage negotiations knows they are complex, fragile, and slow. Trump’s “72-hour miracle” is not diplomacy; it’s a headline gimmick.
Gaza as a business project
Then comes the economic “vision”: miracle cities, special economic zones, investors swarming into Gaza. This isn’t reconstruction. It’s privatization. It’s turning Gaza’s pain into profit. Palestinians will be reduced to cheap labor in their own homeland, while outsiders build fortunes on the rubble of their homes.
War criminals as peacemakers
The most sickening part is this: Trump and Blair cast as trustees of Gaza’s future. Trump armed Israel’s occupation. Blair destroyed Iraq. To put them in charge of Gaza’s “peace” is like asking arsonists to run the fire department. It is insulting, dangerous, and obscene.
Occupation in foreign uniforms
The so-called “International Stabilization Force” will patrol Gaza, with hand-picked Palestinian police acting as auxiliaries. That’s not independence; it’s subcontracted occupation. The boots on the ground change, but the boot is still on the neck of Palestinians.
The eternal mirage of statehood
And, of course, the promise of Palestinian statehood — dangled far into the distance, always postponed, always conditional. Sovereignty is pushed into the future, tied to reforms approved by outsiders, with no guarantee it will ever arrive. It’s not a path to freedom. It’s a mechanism to deny it forever.
Trump’s “Comprehensive Plan” is not about peace, not about justice, not even about ending war. It is about freezing Palestinians in a prison of occupation, silencing their resistance, and selling their land as an investment zone for foreign profiteers. And by placing war criminals like Trump and Blair at the helm, the mask slips. This is not a peace initiative. It is an imperial project — and Palestinians, like any people on earth, will never accept it.
