Following Delhi Blast, Gurugram Police Direct Housing Societies to Provide Details of Kashmiri and Foreign Residents

Date:

Ahead of the Red Fort blast that claimed the lives of at least 13 individuals, Gurugram Police have directed all residential societies in the city to submit the list of all the residents hailing from Jammu and Kashmir.

As reported by the scroll, Station House Officer of Gurugram City Police Station, Madan Lal, said “”We issued a direction after the Delhi blast.”

As per the reports, this step was taken as a part of a security review ahead of the explosion.

“We are inquiring about who has come from where and for how long they have been staying here,” Assistant Police Commissioner Vishnu Prasad said.

This order was directed after a car exploded on Monday at Delhi Fort, killing at least 13 individuals.

“Inter-state and transnational terror module” exposed

Before the blast, the police had reportedly exposed the terror racket of the doctors practicing at Faridabad. In just four days, authorities arrested four doctors for alleged involvement in terror activities, including possession of firearms, ricin, and ammonium nitrate—a disturbing sign of how educated professionals are increasingly being radicalized by global terror networks.

How did the blast happen?

“This evening, around 7 p.m., a blast occurred in a Hyundai i20 car at the Subhash Marg traffic signal near the Red Fort in Delhi. The blast injured some pedestrians and damaged some vehicles. Preliminary reports indicate that fatalities have occurred,” Union Home Minister Amit Shah said while talking to ANI.

“The blast took place in a slow-moving vehicle that came to a halt at the Red Fort traffic signal. There were occupants in the car. The blast damaged cars nearby,” said Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golcha.

Further investigation reveals that the owner of the car was identified as Mohammad Salman, in Gurugram, Haryana, who bought the vehicle in 2013 and sold the vehicle to another man, who further sold the car recently. However, the car is still registered under Salman’s name and has the nameplate of Haryana, according to the reports.
