Chetan Singh Chaudhary, a former constable of the Railway Protection Force (RPF), who has been in the news for a horrific incident that took place on July 31 where He killed his senior police officer and three Muslim men aboard the Jaipur-Mumbai Central Superfast Express.
This heinous act, however, was not his first. Chaudhary has a history of assaulting Muslims, revealed The Wire report. Wajid Khan, an auto driver from Ujjain recalling the abuse he suffered at the hands of Chaudhary, said that Chaudhary would board his auto from Ujjain railway station and pressurize him to drive to far locations while barely paying him, according to report.
One day, between 2016-2017, when Khan was at the train station to drop off a pair of spectacles to a senior officer, Chaudhary detained him for an hour in the station.
Chaudhury claimed that Khan was ‘roaming around’ in the train station without a platform ticket when he had actually torn the platform ticket provided by Khan, according to the Wire report.

During this incident, on Feb 18, 2017, Chaudhary physically assaulted Khan and threatened to implicate him in a case. In response to this, Khan filed a complaint against Chaudhry and an inquiry was launched to probe Chaudhry’s actions. The inquiry found Chaudhary guilty of the charges leveled against him.
Following a departmental probe over Khan’s allegations, Chaudhry was sent for training in Kerala but got later transferred to Bhavnagar in Gujarat, where he allegedly assaulted another colleague.
Meanwhile, PTI quoted an RPF officer as saying that Chaudhury was involved in at least three incidents, including a “hate case” in the past. Asked about these, P C Sinha, Inspector General-cum-Principal Chief Security Commissioner, Western Railway, declined comment, citing the inquiry underway, learnt the Indian Express.
Interestingly, on July 31, former RPF Constable Chetan Singh had planned to kill more people on board the Jaipur-Mumbai Central Superfast Express train, revealed investigations by (GRP) into the shootout.
However, he stopped his killing spree after passengers in coach S5 created a ruckus and started shouting at him when he pointed his loaded gun towards a Burkha-clad woman, as reported in a Hindustan Time’s report.
