As per ANI, Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara stated, “An FIR has been filed against C.T. Ravi following the complaint. He will be presented in court today. I am unaware of any head injury. The police have taken action after consulting with the chairman. CT Ravi’s complaint will also be reviewed.”

Additionally, Parameshwara remarked that the incident began when C.T. Ravi allegedly referred to Rahul Gandhi as a drug addict. He condemned the remark, emphasizing that it was inappropriate and that no senior politician should use such language.

Parameshwara further explained, “The incident began after C.T. Ravi allegedly called Rahul Gandhi a drug addict. It is wrong, and as a senior politician, no one should use such language, especially against a woman who is a minister. I don’t wish to respond to the allegations CT Ravi made during the road protest. He will be produced before the court in Belagavi, and the due process will follow.”

Meanwhile, advocate M.B. Jiragi, representing C.T. Ravi, claimed that despite the BJP leader being arrested under sections 75 and 79 of the BNS, the police had not officially recorded his arrest or presented him before a magistrate, which is a legal requirement.

Advocate M.B. Jiragi stated, “C.T. Ravi has been arrested under sections 75 and 79 of BNS and physically taken into custody. However, we have not received official confirmation that his arrest has been recorded. In fact, the Karnataka police have already taken him into custody and transported him to various locations last night. Yet, they have not produced him before a court of law.”
