Days after Israel’s attack on Lebanon, it announced on late Monday that it had begun its “targeted and limited group operations” in Lebanon, despite international appeals for restraint.
The Israeli Defense Force reportedly (IDF) in a tweet posted that raids are being carried out based on the “precise intelligence against Hezbollah terrorists and infrastructure in Southern Lebanon.
“In accordance with the decision of the political echelon, a few hours ago, the IDF began limited, localized, and targeted ground raids based on precise intelligence against Hezbollah terrorist targets and infrastructure in southern Lebanon. These targets are located in villages close to the border and pose an immediate threat to Israeli communities in northern Israel,” the tweet reads
IDF further said that these operations were approved and carried out by the decision of the political echelon. It saId that operation “Northern Arrows” will continue according to the situational assessment and in parallel to combat in Gaza and other arenas.

According to media reports, explosions were heard in southern Lebanon as Israel’s ground operation commenced, accompanied by the sounds of outgoing artillery fire, drones, and helicopters.

In a video statement, Prime Minister Netanyahu. issued a fresh warning to Iran, asserting that there is no place in the Middle East that Israel cannot reach amid rising tensions with Hezbollah.
