Surat Opens Digital Portal (Rehbar) to Ease the Process of Scholarships among Muslim Students

Date:

To improve the allocation of the scholarships to deserving and needy Muslim students in the entire Gujarat state, the Al Ansar Education Foundation has created a centralized online portal. The official launch was held on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Aliya Farm, Galah, Surat, in the presence of educators, social workers and trust officials all over the state.

Systemic Deficit Lack of trustworthy data is an issue that the educational aid organizations of Gujarat have been struggling with over the years. Through poor verification processes, some of the students have ended up getting the assistance of various organizations without a centralized system whereas most of the students did not get any assistance at all due to the absence of information.

This technological solution developed by the Al Ansar Education Foundation in order to solve this problem. The foundation stated that, the organization has established a contemporary digital portal in which registration of students will be compulsory. The platform also brings about a disbursal of funds that is more fair and systematic due to the capability of donor organizations to confirm whether a student has been assisted in other parts.

In the initiation event, dignitaries celebrated the program as a significant milestone in the education sector of the community. However, organizers pointed out that it is the participation of everyone that will make the portal successful.

Janab Er, the founder of the Al Ansar Foundation. Shoeb Ansari, urged everyone of the Gujarati trusts to register their organizations on the site of alansar foundation at the site of alansarfoundation.com/. The organizers said that success will only be achieved when every trusts register and demand the applicants of scholarships to enroll themselves on this portal. It is hoped that one database will assist in preventing duplication and confusion in ensuring that the aid is delivered to the actual beneficiaries, the talented and needy students that are most in need.

The Chief Guest who was Dr. Maksud Khan (Former CEO, Hajj Committee of India and Former Registrar, Mumbai University) hailed the Initiative as a step in the right direction. He asked all the social welfare institutions in the state to adopt the platform and that the application of this portal is crucial in helping the students in the achievement of success.

It was supported by a number of established organisations, Some of the well-wishers mentioned during the event are Association of Muslim Professionals (AMP) Gujarat Anjuman-e-Talimul Muslimeen (Malekpor), Scholar HopeCrop (Siddhpur), Khidmat-e-Khalq Charitable Trust (Surat), Muslim Brotherhood (Surat), Nathani Charitable Trust (Surat) among others in Gujarat and Maharashtra.

The end of the event was marked by prayers to success of the initiative and thanksgiving to the participants that attended.
