Netanyahu Says Israel Deepening Investment in India Ties, Praises ‘Friend Narendra’

Date:

The friendship of Israel and India has hit headlines again as Prime Minister Netanyahu has talked about his friendship with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Drawing the spotlight, the Israeli prime minister has described him as “one of our greatest friends.” While talking about it, he also said that the government was investing extensively in New Delhi.

The statement came in a podcast interview that was released on Monday, August 3, when the Israeli Prime Minister was explaining the importance of “preserving” strong international allies and highlighted the United States and India. “We need to cultivate additional alliances. That’s why I greatly value the relationship with India, with Narendra Modi, who is one of our greatest friends,” he said.

Netanyahu also dismissed that Israel has been isolated and said, “The support that Israel and I personally receive in India is simply unbelievable.”

Weeks before, the US Vice President JD Vance said that Israel’s only powerful ally was the United States. “If I were in the Cabinet of the Israeli government, I might not be attacking the only powerful ally that I have anywhere left in the entire world,” Vance said in a White House briefing. He said that Tel Avis should work with the nation instead of undermining negotiations intended to reduce regional tensions.

Earlier than this, in an interview with Fox News, Nethanyahu said that India is one of Israel’s key international supporters.

In a podcast-model interview, the Israeli Prime Minister said that there are only two places in the world that people cannot leave: North Korea and Gaza

“There are only two places in the world people cannot leave: North Korea and Gaza,” he said.

“People aren’t allowed to leave Gaza, with countries refusing to take them in “because it would help Israel,” he said.

“I ask, what about helping the Gazans? Why don’t they have the same basic right that billions of people around the world have, the freedom to move?” he added.

“I want us to have our own stealth aircraft, an unmanned aircraft of the future, because we can never know whether the critical platforms we currently receive from abroad will one day be denied to us,” he said.
