In a concerning trend of Indian criminals seeking refuge abroad, 19-year-old gangster Yogesh Kadian, hailing from Jhajjar, Haryana, has become the latest addition to Interpol’s most-wanted list. The international law enforcement agency has issued a Red Corner Notice against Kadian, charging him with a range of serious crimes, including criminal conspiracy, attempted murder, and the possession and use of illegal weapons and ammunition.
Yogesh Kadian’s criminal journey took a transcontinental turn when he fled to the United States two years ago using a fake passport. Since then, he has become a part of the notorious Bambiha gang in the US, where he is reputed for his expertise in state-of-the-art weaponry. What’s more, he is at the forefront of an effort to eliminate rival gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.
Interpol’s Red Corner Notice is a significant step in seeking Kadian’s capture. It serves as an international request to the law enforcement authorities of Interpol’s member countries to locate and temporarily detain Kadian until an extradition, surrender, or a similar legal process can be initiated.
Yogesh Kadian’s notoriety extends beyond his criminal activities in the US. There are reports of his connections with Khalistani terrorists, a concern that has prompted the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to conduct raids on his known hideouts and residence in India. The NIA seeks to investigate his alleged involvement with Khalistani extremists.
Kadian is not the only Indian gangster to be sought by Interpol. Harbhej Singh, a gangster from Punjab’s Amritsar, is also on the international organization’s wanted list. Singh faces charges related to the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act of 1985 and illegal possession of weapons.
Furthermore, Interpol has recently issued a Red Notice against another gangster, Himanshu alias Bhau, who is believed to be residing abroad. Himanshu is wanted in 18 criminal cases, including murder, attempted murder, forgery, extortion, criminal conspiracy, and cheating.
These gangsters, along with Kadian, are reportedly collaborating to take down the Lawrence Bishnoi gang and establish their dominance in the US and Canada. This development comes in the midst of an ongoing diplomatic standoff between India and Canada, triggered by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s allegations of a potential link between Indian agents and the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada.
Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, a central figure in this unfolding drama, is currently held in an Ahmedabad jail as the National Investigation Agency investigates him for drug smuggling charges and his suspected involvement in the murder of singer Sidhu Moosewala.
As Interpol intensifies its efforts to bring these fugitive gangsters to justice, the international community watches closely, hoping for a resolution to these complex and far-reaching criminal networks.
