Sunrisers Hyderabad broke the record for the highest IPL score last Wednesday with a score of 277. That night, it was threatened for a while, but a week later, a raiding Kolkata Knight Riders batting squad almost overtook what should have been a once-in-a-decade effort.
The unlikely goal of 273 was set by KKR, and in 17.2 overs, the Delhi Capitals were all out for 166.
With the bat, Kolkata Knight Riders amassed an impressive 272 for seven because to the brilliant half-centuries scored by youthful Angkrish Raghuvanshi and seasoned player Sunil Narine.
The DC bowlers took off running as Narine hammered 85 off just 39 deliveries and 18-year-old Raghuvanshi hammered 54 off 27 deliveries.
Rinku Singh hit 26 in eight balls, and Andre Russell blasted his way to 41 in just 19 balls, as KKR continued to dominate the innings.
Captain Rishabh Pant hit 55 off of 25 balls for DC, and Tristan Stubbs wowed with 34 off of 32 deliveries.
Kolkata Knight Riders have established themselves as title contenders by starting of the season with three wins, KKR checked off another box.
