VHP and Bajrang Dal Host Shaurya Sabha and Trishul Initiation Program in Aligarh

Date:

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal on Sunday organized a Shaurya Sabha and Trishul Initiation program at Lal Bahadur Shastri Girls’ College on Agra Road in Aligarh district, Uttar Pradesh. The event reportedly  featured Dr. Surendra Jain, Central Joint General Secretary of VHP, as the keynote speaker. Dr. Surendra Jain reportedly  described Bajrang Dal as the “new Khalsa” of Hinduism, drawing parallels with Guru Gobind Singh’s role in inspiring his father, Guru Tegh Bahadur, to sacrifice his life and establishing the Khalsa Panth for the protection of dharma

Speaking from the stage, Dr. Jain criticized historical monuments, alleging that many were constructed by demolishing temples. “Temples were destroyed, and minarets were hastily built over them, renamed as Jama Masjid,” he said.

Referring to Aligarh Muslim University (AMU), Dr. Jain accused student leaders of clinging to Jinnah’s legacy. “How long will you carry Jinnah’s burden? You eat from this country; you must live as one with it to prosper. The looters demolished temples, changed their forms, erected minarets in haste, and replaced the nameplates. I’m a student of history. They claim someone built Qutub Minar, someone built the Red Fort, and someone built the Taj Mahal. What’s the truth? Look at your own history,” he added.

Jain also allegedly criticized political narratives from Hyderabad and certain Muslim leaders, alleging divisive rhetoric. He said, “A Muslim leader once remarked, ‘If we leave, we will take the Taj Mahal, Red Fort, and Qutub Minar with us. What will you have left?’ My response is: read your history. Five generations ago, your ancestors were Hindus forcibly converted. Why do you want to repeat the atrocities committed by foreign invaders on your forefathers against your Hindu brothers and sisters today? Our DNA is the same.”

Dr. Jain also touched upon controversies surrounding AMU, particularly its association with Jinnah. “It’s shocking that the same institution that owes its land to Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh fails to honor him with pride but glorifies Jinnah. They refuse to remove Jinnah’s portrait, even if it means raising slogans like ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ or ‘Sar Tan Se Juda.’ What kind of mindset and education is being promoted here?”

The event, aimed at fostering unity and valor, also highlighted concerns over historical narratives and communal harmony in the region.

The event also featured blessings from Mahant Kaushal Nath Maharaj, with prominent attendees including Vinay Agarwal, Krishna Varshney, Sunil Parashar, Rakesh Tyagi, R.K. Jindal, Deepak Rajput, Jitendra Arya, Ankur Shivaji, Dev Soni, and Gaurav Maheshwar
