Five Killed, One Injured as Car Falls into Lake in Telangana’s Yadadri Bhuvanagiri

A tragic event unfolded in Telangana where five people lost their lives and one person sustained injuries when the car they were travelling in went out of control and plunged into a lake near Jalalpur village in Bhoodan Pochampally Mandal of Telangana’s Yadadri Bhongir district. As per the media reports, the incident took place on Saturday in the early hours. 

The individuals who lost their lives are  identified as Vamsi (23), Dignesh (21), Harsha (21), Balu (19), and Vinay (21), while the injured individual was identified as  Manikanth (21). The visuals from the spot showed the police team, along with locals, trying to recover the car from the lake.

As per the details cited by India TV, the police said that the driver lost control of the car due to which the accident took place. Sub inspector, Sub-inspector, Pochampalli Police Station said the deceased were travelling from Kothagudem to Pochampalli. They were all the natives of LB Nagar RTC Colony. 

“The bodies of the deceased will be handed over to their families following legal formalities. Investigations into the cause of the accident are ongoing,” a police official said. 

Sub-inspector of Pochampalli Police station said and India TV reported, “An accident occurred early this morning around 5:30 am at Jalalpur village lake. Six members were traveling in the car; one member escaped by breaking the car’s glass, while the other five members died. They were traveling from Kothagudem to Pochampalli and were all natives of LB Nagar RTC Colony. The car was speeding, and after losing control, it fell into the lake. The deceased bodies have been shifted to the area hospital.”
