Delhi witnessed two violent murders on Saturday, while ruling AAP lashed out at the Centre for the city’s law and order situation.

A Business Man fatally shot In Shahdara

A 52 year old utensil trader identified as Sunil Jain, was returning home on a scooter near the Yamuna Sports Complex in Shahdara when bike borne assaulters fired 7-8 rounds at him. As revealed by the Police, Jain was struck by 3-4 bullets.

A team from the Farsh Bazar Police station reportedly arrived after receiving a PCR call, but jain succumbed to his injuries while on the way to the hospital. The investigation is underway to identify the assaulters and determine the motive behind the crime.

“We are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to trace the accused,” a senior police officer said. Jain’s family stated he had no known enmity or prior threats.

Stabbed to Death in Govindpuri

In yet another incident, a brawl over the cleanliness of a common toilet in Govindpuri led to a violent incident, leaving one man dead and two injured.

The victims are identified as Sudheer, his brother Prem, and their friend Sagar. Sudheer succumbed to the injuries on his chest, face, and head, while the other two are receiving treatment at AIIMS.

Police have apprehended five suspects, including a minor, in connection with the incident. The arrested individuals are Bhikam Singh, his wife Meena, and their two sons, Sanjay (20) and Rahul (18), along with a juvenile. Bhikam is said to be employed at a local building materials shop.

The AAP government accused the Centre of fostering a “jungle raj” in Delhi, directing criticism at the Delhi Police, which operates under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

Minister Saurabh Bhardwaj called Delhi the “crime capital” of India, while AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal held Home Minister Amit Shah directly responsible.

“Amit Shah has ruined Delhi. People are living in constant fear. The BJP has failed to manage law and order in the city. The people of Delhi must unite and demand change,” said Kejriwal.
