The former CM of Karnataka, BS Yediyurappa, was booked for the alleged sexual assault of a minor at his Bengaluru residence last month. The mother of a 17-year-old girl filed a complaint claiming sexual assault by the BJP politician. She claimed that an 81-year-old BJP politician sexually molested her daughter on February 2 during a meeting.

The BJP leader confirmed that the complaint was filed against him but rejected the allegations. In response to the POCSO charge against him, the BJP veteran stated that a woman he assisted “started talking against me.”

“They had been visiting for nearly a month, but I didn’t pay attention. But one day, when I informed them they were sobbing, I called and inquired what had occurred. They informed me that they had been wronged. I immediately called Police Commissioner (B) Dayananda and requested that he listen to their concerns and take appropriate action. However, she twisted it into a FIR. We shall do everything legally needed. I didn’t expect that helping someone would result in this. I had also handed them money. But we will dispute it legally,” he stated. daily began speaking out against me. I suspected she was sick and requested that the police commissioner conduct an investigation. This has been twisted and turned.

The Bengaluru police have launched legal proceedings against Karnataka’s former Chief Minister under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act, 2012 (POCSO).

Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara confirmed the filing of the complaint but declined to provide any details. Parameshwara added that the woman herself wrote the complaint and handed it over to the police.

“Last night, a woman filed a complaint against B.S. Yeddiyurappa. Following an investigation of the facts, the police formally recorded the complaint. “I am unable to provide further commentary on the matter until the investigation is completed,” he stated.

The police have charged BS Yediyurappa under Section 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and Section 354 A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC).

BS Yediyurappa is the highest-ranking BJP politician in Karnataka. He is the only politician to have served four times as the state’s chief minister and three times as the leader of the opposition.
