Kerala Man Dies by Suicide, Alleges Sexual Abuse by RSS Members in Social Media Post

Date:

A 23-year-old man identified as Ananthu Aji, hailing from Thampalakad, Kerala’s Kottayam district, has reportedly died by suicide following an Instagram post alleging repeated sexual abuse by workers of the Hindutva paramilitary organization Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh.

The man in his social media post alleged that he was raped at the age of four and faced sexual abuse from multiple members of the RSS organization.

“I’m committing suicide not because of any girl, love affair, debt, or anything like that. I’m doing this because of my anxiety and depressive episodes. Also, because of my medicines, I can’t concentrate on my work,” Ananthu Aji said.

“I feel like I’m forgetting things and can’t focus. I’m not angry with anyone, except one person and an organization. The organization is RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh), which my father (a very good person) made me join. That’s where I’ve suffered lifelong trauma, from the organization and that person,” he added.

“That’s how toxic RSS members are. They’re the real abusers. I don’t remember the person’s name, but I faced sexual abuse at both ITC and OTC camps. Not just sexual abuse, but physical abuse too. They beat me without reason, using their sticks,” he said.

“As a child, one person continuously abused him, and later, he was subjected to sexual abuse by multiple individuals within the RSS organization,” Ananthu Aji wrote.

He further alleged that as a child he was repeatedly sexually abused by NM, and this abuse eventually caused him lasting psychological trauma, and he was diagnosed with OCD.
