AIIMS, Delhi – 07.08.2023: In a recent incident at AIIMS Delhi, a fire erupted in the endoscopy room situated above the emergency ward. Prompt action was taken as eight fire tenders rushed to the scene, managing to bring the fire under control swiftly.
The fire incident unfolded at 11:54 pm when a fire call was received from the emergency ward. Acting swiftly, authorities ensured the safe evacuation of all patients and staff in the vicinity. Thanks to their quick response, no casualties were reported, and everyone was brought to safety.
The endoscopy room, located on the second floor of the Old Outpatient Department (OPD), suffered damages due to the fire. However, the fire suppression efforts prevented any further escalation of the situation.
