Congress leader Rahul Gandhi made a significant statement on Friday, asserting that the BJP cannot win as the stage of INDIA represents 60 percent of the population. He criticized the government, alleging that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the BJP are a nexus of corruption, and vowed that this would be demonstrated and proven by the INDIA alliance.

Following a two-day meeting, Rahul Gandhi addressed a press conference where he stated, “Two very big steps were taken. The most important thing is to understand that this stage represents 60 percent of the population. If the parties on this stage unite, it is impossible for the BJP to win the election.”

He emphasized that their task is to unite in the most efficient ways possible. He highlighted two steps taken by INDIA: the formation of a coordination committee and sub-committees, and expediting seat-sharing decisions and discussions. “These are two powerful steps to ensure we defeat BJP,” he said.

Rahul Gandhi also pointed out a clear nexus between the Prime Minister and a particular businessman. He called for an inquiry into Adani in light of the ongoing G20 summit, stating it is crucial for India’s credibility that the Prime Minister makes his position clear.

“The PM and the BJP are a nexus of corruption, and that is the first thing that the INDIA alliance will demonstrate and prove,” Rahul Gandhi asserted. He further claimed that Prime Minister Modi’s government’s idea is to extract money from poor people and transfer it to a limited few.

Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge also echoed these sentiments, stating that everyone in INDIA has only one intention: to reduce price rises and fight against inflation and unemployment.

Kharge criticized the government over rising prices of essential items, petrol, and diesel. He claimed that Modi will never work for the poor because his strategy has always been to work against them as he aligns with capitalists.

He concludes by saying that to fight against this and stop it, it is necessary for INDIA to win.
