Islam Is Incompatible With Europe, Migration Must Be Controlled – Italy PM Meloni

Date:

Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni has called Islam incompatible with European values. She also received support from Britain’s Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, who warned of the dangers of uncontrolled migration from the middle east nations.

Meloni, who leads the right-wing Brothers of Italy party, made her remarks at a political festival in Rome, where she was joined by Sunak as a guest speaker.

She claimed that Islamic culture was incompatible with the values and rights of European civilization, and that Europe was undergoing a process of Islamization driven by Saudi Arabia, which funds Islamic cultural centers in Italy.

She also claimed that her party, which is part of a coalition government with the League and Forza Italia, had proposed a bill to ban the use of garages and industrial warehouses as mosques, because they caused social conflicts.

Meloni’s views echo the far-right conspiracy theory of the “Islamization” of Europe, which alleges that Muslims in Europe seek to impose their culture and religion on the continent by force.

Sunak, who became Britain’s Prime Minister after Boris Johnson’s resignation earlier this year, expressed his solidarity with Meloni, and said that he was committed to reforming the global asylum system, which according to him is outdated and exploited by foreign forces, who wish to destabilize Europe.
